Our environmental commitment

Measure our impact, make it visible, own it. Total transparency with our customers.

Being transparent means being responsible.
Our approach

Being transparent means being responsible.

At Divag, we chose to calculate and publicly display the environmental cost of every piece. Not to feel good about ourselves — so you can make an informed choice.

We're one of the first French textile brands to adopt the Ecobalyse method, the official tool developed by the French government and ADEME to measure the environmental impact of clothing across its entire lifecycle.

That's a conviction, not a strategy. Transparency isn't a constraint. It's a responsibility. And we're proud of it.

Understand

What is the Ecobalyse eco-score?

The eco-score is a points-based rating that measures the total environmental cost of a garment, from raw material production through to end of life. The lower the score, the better for the environment.

The Ecobalyse method was developed by the French Ministry of Ecological Transition and ADEME. It covers the full product lifecycle: raw materials, manufacturing, transport, use and end of life.

The calculation factors in the materials used and where they come from, manufacturing processes and their energy intensity, distances travelled between production stages, and the product's durability and resistance to washing.

For context: a conventional cotton T-shirt made in Asia typically scores between 1,200 and 1,500 impact points. The Vertikal Pant scores 989 points, the result of 1.5 years of R&D and the responsible partners who worked with us throughout development.

989 pts Vertikal Pant
829 pts Vertikal T-Shirt
957 pts Vertikal Short
−30% vs average conventional T-shirt
Product transparency

The composition label on the outside. On purpose.

The eco-score is part of a broader commitment to transparency. Our composition labels are sewn on the outside of garments — a deliberate choice so you know exactly what you're wearing, without having to dig for it.

Materials, origins, care: everything is readable at a glance. Because transparency shouldn't stop at the price.
